Meet Soiree Keynote Nicole Stephens

Nicole Stephens first connected with Rebuilding Hope in 2015 when she attended a 30-hour Advocate Core training offered through our Education Program. That same year, Nicole began serving on the Washington State Sexual Assault Forensic Examination Best Practices Advisory Group (SAFE) as a Survivor Representative. As a new member of SAFE, Nicole took it upon herself to expand her knowledge of the victim/survivor experience and the systems that they move through, which led her to Rebuilding Hope.

Since its inception, the SAFE Advisory Group has successfully passed legislation for a victim bill of rights, a forensic kit tracking system, requirements for trauma-informed education for law enforcement and much more. Nicole continues to serve on the Advisory Group to this day, now having spent nearly a decade creating change at the legislative level.

Nicole began serving on Rebuilding Hope’s Board of Directors in late 2022, and was selected to serve as the Board Vice President in December of 2023. Nicole is also the Epic training leader for Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, heading a team that is responsible for training and supporting all users of the healthcare operating system.

At this year’s Soiree, guests will get to hear Nicole talk about her work with the SAFE Advisory Group, which ultimately led to Washington State clearing its decades-long backlog of untested sexual assault kits. We hope that you’ll celebrate this incredible achievement with us on April 26!

Don’t forget that the clock is ticking on early bird tickets. Prices will increase on Monday, April 1 so get yours today!
