Youth Safety Workshop Equips Caring Adults with Prevention Tools

Rebuilding Hope’s Education Team has a special role in our mission to provide support, promote healing, and partner to end of sexual violence. The Education Team engages directly with youth in schools, professionals in workplaces, and other groups to facilitate meaningful conversations – not just about sexual violence, but also about safety, boundaries, and healthy communities.

In the coming weeks, they’re opening these conversations to all parents, caregivers, teachers, and community members who want to build their skills in preventing sexual abuse.

Throughout November and December, we’re hosting six virtual sessions covering three key topics. Each topic is offered twice to fit a variety of schedules, and all are designed to be welcoming and easy to join. Check out the details below, and click each session to register!

A Parent’s Guide to Online Safety

The first step to keeping our kids safe online? Understanding their online world, including gaming and social media. We’ll help you understand the current digital landscape in this session.

Talking About Consent

Consent isn’t just saying ‘yes’ to sex; it’s understanding boundaries in every relationship, not just romantic ones. We’ll unpack how to talk to youth in your life about healthy boundaries in age-appropriate ways.

Room to Talk: Creating Safe Spaces for Youth to Share

How do we teach our kids to come to us when they need help or advice? We’ll dive in and explore strategies on building stronger, more connected relationships with youth.

We’d love for you to attend or share these opportunities with your network. Together, we can keep growing the circle of adults who are equipped to support and protect the young people in their lives, building safer communities and healthier relationships for kids of all ages.
